Because the title "Caught by the rain" was too Billy Talent-ish for me.
Myeah. It's a bit gloomy but I never did a rain/skyless scene and it looked like the place to try. I'm gonna quit doing complicate scenes for a while, I think I proved to myself that I can do perspective with too much lines.
This very jolly decor is brought to you by the show "The Wire", season 4. This show profoundly marked me, mainly because it features the cityof Baltimore as the main character, a notion that I cherish deeply. I took a screenshot and redid the structure by hand. There's over 75 windows, more if you consider that I redid them all twice, because they were slightly too big. Long.
It's a bummer when you get caught by the rain, while your masterpiece is dripping on the ground.
Like so many times, Samuel and Edwin, belonging to me.
I like how tyhis picture tells a story without the use of any words at all. Not even in the description did you refrence what's happening in the scene. That's the mark of a truly talented storyteller.
Lol, I just got the title after seeing the piece a third time. Whether you intended or not, "Broken Window Theory" is the concept of the environment creating a "tendency" in people within that environment and was applied when cleaning up New York City in the early nineties. While it sounded fairly hippie, they pulled it off. They turned a dirty, broken city into a clean, well-lit city and slapped a few hands and suddenly the most dangerous U.S. city drops off the top ten most dangerous list.
Awesome title for an awesome piece!
